Model 29 with 3 1/2" bbl. made to look just like a 3 1/2" M27. Square butt with target stocks, RR, combat trigger and semi-target hammer, and of course the checkering on the top strap. It would have to have the Mtn gun bbl. profile to give it the M27 look.
Corporate rationale: the 3 1/2" M27, in its day, was supposed to be the Company's premier revolver (no holds barred), and it was unique for that reason (nothing else has the checkering and no other 3 1/2" bbls). The .44 mag could/should hold that title now; it has a sales history just like the Registered Magnum used to - they sell every one they make. Secondly, N frames are supposed to be .44 caliber - it has been a staple for the Co. for over 100 years! Thirdly, I want one! Heck, I'd even settle for one in .44 Spl.
My second wish is for a Model of 1917 style .45 ACP revolver with a 3" to 3 1/2" bbl. Remeniscent of the customization of these war veterans from the 20s to the 60s (A Heritage Custom Series - call it the Chopped 1917). Options could be bobbed hammers and various combat grips. A fixed-sighted fighting revolver (like the current M22) in a snubbie version. No ejector shroud, dehorned, chamfered, and with pencil (stovepipe) barrel. Sweeeeeet!
