model 30 mabye 30-1 help please

I need a price check please! found a model 30, what it said on the sale tag, forgot to check on the frame so it might be a 30-1. the guy came down to 500.00 and is firm there. the finish is 98% snub nose, round butt, ramp front sight. I want it, but is this too much money? do not know if there is a box or papers, didnt ask. its about 80 miles away so not real easy to go check details.

also if it is a straight 30 will it fit my j frame holsters? will j frame grips fit a 30 or a 30-1?

how bad would a 32 s&w long be as a second, back up gun? main is a 60 pro.

I have a nickel #30-1 & two blue #31-1's, all three inch barrel guns. For $500.00, it should unfired, NIB, with all paperwork and the cleaning stuff. If that is what you want, fine, go for it. They are neat revolvers, and accurate. .32 Long ammo is not cheap, there is not a wide range of loads available, and is not the best self defense round. If you do want it strictly for SD, there are scads more firearms in much better calibers available in that price range.

Your holsters and stocks should interchange.
