I'm not only new to the forum, but new to small frame Smiths as well (Always been an N Frame kind of guy). I picked up a used Model 31-1 today.
Can anyone help date it?
Serial number: ADB 2XXX
It has a 3" barrel, definitely a late 3 screw, no pinned barrel.
I know the previous owner pretty well, and he has only put 38 rounds through it since new. Unfortunately it sat for too long in a leather holster and has some surface corrosion, but for what I paid for it it's fine by me and will be a nice little resto project.
It has an amazing single action trigger pull, I think better than any of my N Frames, I really look forward to firing it at the range.
