Afternoon brothers and sisters...
My question concerns the repair of my M315 front sight. It is a 2009 model year and the XS night sight is dead... I sent it to Trijicon to have a fresh "juice tube" installed and was told they do not work on XS sights anymore, something about the outer accent ring or something. So I have tried in vain to get a response from XS Tech support. No response to my emails or left messages.
Anyone know if another company that might be able to fit a fresh tube in my sight? I don't believe S&W service dept offers this service, if memory serves me they always recommend that it is sent to Trijicon.
This revolver is in my carry rotation so that bright front sight helps out these Old Eyes...
Thanks for any responses...

That’s surprising.Their customer service used to be great. I once had a xs front sightgo flying at qualification.I called them told them it was my duty gun. They overnighted me one and sent me a tube of loctite.Try contacting Trijcon they might be able to help you.

I also have a 315NG with dead sights so will be interested to hear any suggestions.

I don't carry mine but will be looking to sell in a few years and the info/cost/etc.. will be good to know.

I sent XS an email just now and received a control number from them saying I will receive a response.

If so I will post the answer here.

Received a reply from XS and it appears they do not re-lamp the sight.

But, the tech asked me to send measurements of the sight unit itself and he was going to see if they had any of that size still left in stock.

My measurements from top of barrel to top of sight was 3/16 of an inch.

I assume then it would be a matter of punching the pin out and replacing the sight.

I will keep you posted.

If XS doesn't come through, try Tooltech Gunsights. They replace Trijicon lamps, don't know if they will work on XS. The type of work they will accept has narrowed over the years.

Received a follow up email.

The tech advised you cannot relamp this particular sight and attempting to do so will damage the sight.

He did provide a link to the website where we can buy a replacement.

They also offer a service to install the sight for you for an additional fee.

To the OP if you would like copies of the two emails message me your email address and I will forward them.
