Hi, guys, I found this for sale at my local gun range today and had to have it. Don't know too much about it. I paid $450 for it.I figure thats about average, some more, some less. Trying to figure out the year. The serial number is M798xx. It looks better that the pictures that I took. I fired about 160 rds thru it, worked flawlessly and was dead on accurate using a rest. I am new to revolvers and am getting used to the da and sa trigger, so without the rest my shooting wasn't as good. Here are the pictures, any info would be appreciated. I wish the .38 special had adjustable sights, couldn't figure out the sight picture, thats for another post. Thanks, Jesse.

Any precautions on cleaning a nickel plated gun. I've been wiping off my fingerprints with a microfiber cloth, just to make it shine, and thing i over did it and see a few swirl marks. I think I did that, just like on my car. I'm stopping now and waiting for you'alls advise. What should I use to clean the bore, I currently use hopes#9 on my other guns, but have read not to use on nickel plated guns. You, guys with nickel guns, what is your procedure for cleaning and polishing. Thanks, Jesse.

Good deal. The more you shoot it the better you will like it. I never clean the bore on my Smith .22 revolvers. I do take a .22 cal. brush on a rod and clean the cylinder charge holes(during a shoot if they get hard to load/extract) and when i'm through with it for the day. I use M-Pro-7 or WD40 on a rag to clean my nickel guns after a shoot.

The 34s are great little guns, wish I hadn't sold mine. If you'll PM me with your address, I'll send you a little karma gift. Very nice find. :D

You sir, have happened on to one of life's little pleasures...I haven't been without at least one for well over 20 years...handy, accurate, and really fun to shoot....enjoy!!!

Thanks, glad to hear all the good comments, glad I got it, it just felt right.

With a square butt and in nickel your little Kit Gun is not an easy variation to find. Congratulations!

I have found that Kits are very individual for some mysterious reason. Getting one that shoots well for you can be a real challenge. If you found one on the first go around you are very fortunate indeed!

I use WD40 on my nickel Smiths and have for years.
