Hi guys, I'm enjoying this new-to-me 1982 Model 36-1 nickel. I fitted a replacement yoke, the button on the original was buggered. Also replaced the grips with the current J-frame rubber boot grips that I like so much on my model 442.
After killing some local beer cans I think I'm going to have fun with this gun!

Thanks Erich,
This is my first nickel gun, wasn't sure how I would take to it. Surprised how hard the surface seems to be, scratch-resistant. The trigger corners are going to get some work though, when it is next dismantled, a Wolff spring kit is in the mail.

I have four 3" J frames, they are a joy to carry in the woods. The nickel finish reflects enough light to see the sights while in the woods too. Holsters are harder to find than for a snubbie but are easily ordered.

A few of my 3" J frame holsters.

Attsa nice un! Something to be proud of. ;)

Colby Bruce, could you identify some manufacturers/sources for those holsters, please? They look very good!

I'd really like the first style you show for my 60-4. :)

Froggie

The first holster is a Bianchi 124 Crossdraw, it also fit small semi-autos like the Walther PP.

The second is a Lobo IWB, very comfortable to wear.

The third photo is of Safariland 16 & 17, though I can't remember which is which and I am not home to look.

The fourth is a Cobra, one of the few LH holsters I have left. I used to carry a 37 loaded with shot shells when I fished. I sold the 37 and now carry my 650.

Here is a photo of the Bianchi 124 with my Walther PP. I may have traded that holster off. The other is a Bianchi IWB for a 3" J frame.

I recently found a 3" nickle model 36 on consignment at a local gun store. I brought it home and took it to the range. It shoots well and is now my EDC. Only nickle gun I have ever carried. Getting special feelings for it.
