How it started (Pachymayrs) vs how it's going. I picked up a pair of square butt, Smith & Wesson, Woodstocks from eBay for my model 36 aside from looking way classier, it is easier to conceal now…feels about half the size. The extra weight of the 36 also helps on the range compared to the air weight. It's nowhere near as snappy and I am able to get a good grip on them. I might get a grip adapter, but I am uncertain because it grips pretty well right now.
Ironically, the 442 is wearing wood grips that were originally intended for this, but turned out to be round butt.
For me, I think the most impressive thing about the wooden grips is just how flush and easily they disappear against your body. I liked the rubber Smith & Wesson grips that came with the 442, but they were a little sticky and oddly shaped. The wood grips seem to flow even better..
