Thanks! I was guessing late '70s. Its in very good condition. No exterior holster scuffing and slight ring marks on the cylinder.

For the 3" heavy barrel 36-1 I'm partial to this custom holster made by LOBO Gun Leather (lobogunleather.com). Ray produces a quality product at a very fair price. This is one of his early pancake holsters that is still very serviceable and hugs the body like none other I've tried. Ray also produces an enhanced pancake which I have for my 2" model 640 for more discrete concealed carry.

If you want traditional leather, Gunner's Alley hooked me up with a Don Hume IWB - they have a big Cyber Monday sale going on now.

For hikes up the canyon, I also picked up a nice custom flap holster from Paul Dameron/Newfyman's friend David Newcomb.

If you want a sweat-proof inexpensive rig, look at Remora. Call Alan for sizing, I think it might be a number 8 that I have.
