Model 36-3 (NIB) Serial Number lookup

Hey Folks, I am traveling and away from my S&W Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson (Supica/Nahas) book....
I came upon a Model 36-2 Chief Special SN# BBT7104 NIB for sale and needed a date of manufacture.....
Can any of you folks help me out!

was it a -2 or a -3? You have both listed in your title and post.

However, on pg 491 of the SCSW 4th Edition, it lists BBT serial numbers as starting in 1988.

My Model 36-2 BBT5174 shipped in April 1989.

I'd suggest there's a good chance yours was a wee bit later that year.
