Model 36 & 37 DOB

Model 36 no - 730xxx
Model 37 Airweight no - 648xxx

The reference book has big gaps in the later J frame serial numbers. The 36 is probably 1968, and the 37 within a year or two earlier. Others may have a factory historical letter with nearby serial numbers and can give you a more exact time. Hope this is helpful.
 
A couple of other question that I had intended to put in my previous post but failed too... Is the Model 37 more desirable than the 36 and is it safe to use either one of them +P ammo? I would assume that a very limited diet just for HD would be ok???

They are about equal in collector or shooter appeal. Both are fine with +P ammo; the cost (and in the 37, recoil) will wear your wallet and nerves out before the gun does :) .
