Model 36 Flat Latch year of manufacture?

I'm trying to get a date of manufacture on a model 36 no dash, flat latch with a serial number of 3508xx

Any help would be appreciated.

Model 36 #3538xx shipped in September, 1964. Good chance yours was close to that time.

CCS7259 is a 1998 serial number. I don't see how it could be a "no dash" since those were discontinued ten years earlier.

Not likely, unless it has been refinished. The finish options on the Model 36 were blue or nickel. I suspect yours is nickel.
