Model 36.....ROUND#3

Got back the Model 36 after the second attempt @ rectifying the right hand twisted barrel.I called and they said they had put in a new barrel this time so tommorrow after class I will put a couple of boxes of ammo thru it and see what happens.Stay Tuned.....Mike

I am hopeful that it is fixed right this time.The Customer service rep had said "This time they replaced the barrel".It they had only realligned the barrel the first time it would make sense that it torqued to the right a second time after a few rounds were shot thru it duplicating the same problem.My confidence in new S+W Revolvers is just about non existent after having 2 Model 640's have catastrophic failure,fight to get a Model 36 as a replacement and have this new gun manufactured 6/2012 have 2 more return trips for the same problem.Here is hoping......Mike

Happy to say after 200 rounds of testing the Model 36 is poa-poi.I guess they tried fixing it on the cheap the first time by just moving the same barrel back,which is why the problem repeated.With the new barrel all is good.Time to give it a good rennaisance waxing and will put on the Real Magna Grips and Tyler T grip.If I put a thousand rounds thru it without mishap it can work into my carry rotation.....We Shall See........Mike
