Model 36 value

I have a model 36 new in the original box with all the paper work gun is unfired no turn ring serial number is j674972 I was wondering about the value for insurance purposes gun is blue, has original grips numbered to the gun

Without photos per your description...$500 +/-$50 (~1980 manufacture date, fair price to buyer and seller...not sure about insurance valuation).

I'd say $750-800. Your description is of a pristine gun, and you should value it as such. You probably already know this, but be sure to keep photos on file.

I suspect it depends somewhat on where the M36 is sitting, waiting for a buyer.

In a LGS near me, I was admiring a M36 of similar description in the used showcase, for $750. I was picking up my 9mm Shield at the time, and decided my Mastercard didn't need any more inflation.

It haunted me for a few days, and caving to lust and lack of common sense, I went back to the shop, wallet in hand. It was already gone.

I am not tech savvy at all, so I take my pictures on my cell phone the best I can, then log on to this site on the phone. It makes it very easy to upload images directly from your phone to this site. They show up as thumbnails on the post but people can still click on image for a full screen version. Hope this helps.

I would tend to agree with the value in the $ 750- $ 800 range .
The big keys here are , pinned barrel, and truly unfired outside of the factory, and of course the original box and papers etc. All those factory combine to make it a very attractive package to a collector .
True, it's not an S prefix 27-2 or anything , but , in this day and age , finding ANY legitimate unfired in the original box, pinned barrel J, K or N frame is fast becoming an extreme rarity (Too many kids are taking them out and shooting them ) .
