Model 36 w/3" bbl and square butt

Scored a nice Model 36 today. I like this J-frame with a 3" barrel. The square butt seems to fit my large hand much better too. Owned by a former LEO with the LAPD and LASD. Used as a back up and fired very little. Overall in great shape. Was carried in a Safariland OWB holster with the muzzle exposed. Consequently has a some bluing wear at muzzle end. Serial number is 84J1XX which I believe makes it 1970-73 vintage.

Looks great! I've a 3" hb square butt and it is easy to shoot small groups with....enjoy!

I bought a 3"HB M36 a few years back as a gift for a girlfriend whose dad had given her a Colt Lightning as a house gun and stoked it w/.38 Spl WC.
Dad took back the Lightning (sigh).

A nice one just sold on GunBroker for $340.00. You would want to tack on approximately another fifty to sixty dollars to account for the buyers cost for shipping and an FFL. So, you are looking at the price of about $400.00 to the buyer.
