I'm not sure since the SCSW 4th addition does not list a serial number range with the prefix of BSR..

Based on that info, I can only speculate that it was shipped somewhere between 1993 AND 94?

Someone else will be along with more information.

I show BSN s/n's that shipped in February '95 and BSP's that shipped in March '95.

If, and that's a big "if," S&W continued in the alphabet progression it reasons that yours might have shipped by mid-'95.

S&W didn't track manufacturing dates, only ship dates.
