Snubbyfan has a pattern to make a belt holster. Carried my model 38 all day and you'll have no issues.

Welcome to the Forum. My EDC consists of a Model 638 and a Model 38. I usually pocket carry both of them in DeSantis Nemesis holsters, but depending on what kind of pants I'm wearing (i.e. how many pockets available for all of the stuff I have to carry), I'll carry one of my Humpbacks in an OWB holster. I have a Bianchi Lightning (Model 55L) and a Galco Speedmaster that I use for belt carry. I like both, but the edge goes to the Speedmaster for greater comfort and concealability (it holds the piece high and tight to the body). I believe the Bianchi Lightning is still being made, but I think the Galco Speedmaster is no longer in production. Both are available in left handed versions, and I got both of mine from the online auction place for used stuff (I think I paid around $30.00 - $40.00 for each of them).

I don't really get how that works. Cuz if I'm reloading a full cylinder I'm throwing the empty speed strip on the ground. I wouldn't want to put it back in my pocket. But maybe it's there in case of a fumble and if you don't you throw it on the ground anyways?

I carry my nickel model 49 in a Bianchi 57 Remedy OWB holster. It's great...see if it might be what you are looking for...

I second Double-O-Dave, the Bianchi 55L is great. I use one for my 442 and my 38-2.

The behind the trigger guard thumb snap release is secure and convenient, google for the best prices.

Look at a Lobo Enhanced Pancake. I had 'em make mine for a 2 1/4" barrel (in case I get one of the 357 Mag models) and a hammer shield (in case I ever want to carry one of the hammer models) but it works just fine for a Model 49 and centennials.
