I really am not very familiar with S&W semi autos, but I have handled a few. I really like the looks and feel of the model 39, especially the "shiny" ones. But I would choose something other than the 9 mm.
Would it be possible for the company to bring one out in 40 S&W. Maybe they already have something similar (although checking the internet and catalog I don't see a 40 in that config). Offering one in your choice of blue, nickel, and polished stainless would be great. I think I'd buy a couple! Don't you think they would sell? Let me know if I'm missin something here.

in 40mm??

That would be impressive. You thinking 40mm grenade or 40mm Bofors anti-aircraft?

While its not shiny, S&W did make a 40 S&W based on the 3913LS frame called a 4040. It is a very nice and compact pistol.

A Senior Moment!!!

Sometimes my inner geezer really cracks me up! Although I did see some 40 mm anti aircraft on an old PCE back in the 60's, we didn't have 'em aboard the Dixie! I sure don't want to carry one around or scare people at the range with it! That was a good one on me! Thanks for pointing it out. I probably would have been oblivious to it. And as you pointed out, they aren't very "shiny" anyway! As I tell my wife.."It's fun living with old people, isn't it?"
