Model 41 22LR

Just purchased a new S&W Model 41 22LR with a 7 inch barrel.

I am also interested in purchasing a Smith & Wesson 41 Model 5.5" Barrel 22LR with Sights attached as OEM.

If anyone can point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.

And, as a new member today if this post should be posted in a different section, please advise where.

Where do I find “wanted?” I’ve searched and find navigating thru this site quite challenging. Of course I first searched for where to post but gave up.

Scroll down a bit and should find the area for 'wanted to buy'!

Be AWARE ! The barrels are SUPPOSED to be interchangeable!! It's NOT always the case. Some require minor fitting.
Do a search on the forum regarding this subject, I've had no issues while others have.

Back when I bought my 1st Mod41, you could still order a barrel from Brownell's, Numrich, or S&W. They don't seem to offer that now but Clark does:

The web-site is too fancy; you have to explore in order see the sights illustrated.

I own three 41's. All are pre 1980. I have one 1971 and two 1963's. One of my 63's is a model 41-1 short. I specifically started collecting older models as I believe these were the heydays of their manufacturing. If you've ever worked in manufacturing then you understand that workers take pride in the product when the product is worth being proud of. But those workers retire eventually. The new crew might not see the "job" in the same light as those who were there from the beginning. You toss in CNC machines, loss of polish, blueing, in my opinion, are signs of a lack in pride. You end up with a mass produced shadow of what once was. . .at least own one old one while they're available.
