Model 41 5 inch field barrel

This is a no brainer for Smith and Wesson. I have been lucky to have
picked up many years ago 2 of these barrels.

I am sure nearly every model 41 owner would buy one if S&W made
them with the same look as the old models with the exception of being drilled and tapped for optics.

It would be a simple manufacturing move to make a few thousand barrels and they would sell.

My first hand gun was a 5" heavy barrel Mod 41 for Bullseye Pistol competition.

I liked it so much I wanted one for a field gun, I bought a 7" mod 41 because I could not find a 5 1/2" skinny barrel field one.

A skinny 5" Field barrel would be perfect...
