A neighbor is selling his grandfather's Model 41, s/n 212XX. Overall good condition with some minor finish flaws, mainly freckles. Has the weights but no box or tools. 7" barrel, one magazine. He is asking $1,000.

Opinions?

Sorry, no pictures.

As always, I appreciate any input from you.

Its around a 1959-60 made gun. The weight set if original to the gun is worth $300.-$500. depending on where you live. It may also be a 7 and 3/8th" barrel with that serial no. Its a high but fair price if it shoots well.

Thank you Barrie. I knew the barrel size but am a lazy typist. Appreciate your comments. Still deciding what I will do.

The older ones like that have a better blueing in their finish then the newer models plus the slightly longer barrel as well. They were very well made guns back then and are usually quite accurite as well. I own one made in 1958 and just love to shoot it every week.
