I'm having a problem reassembling my 41 after adjusting the trigger pull. I adjusted the trigger pull by moving the notched lever and tested it with the barrel off. Everything was fine. When I reassembled it I couldn't get it to work. I did have a problem with assembly because I forgot to open the trigger guard after testing it and had trouble mounting the slide. Discovered the lug on the Trigger Guard was interfering with the slide. I thought maybe the magazine disconnect wasn't engaging so I took the grips off so I could see it and it was engaging. reassembled and I can't get it to work. Made sure the mag was seated. Any suggestions?

First field stripped the gun, remove barrel and slide. Then I adjusted the trigger for a lighter pull by drifting the pin which holds the lever that actuates when the trigger is pulled as per instructions, moved the lever forward which lightens the pull. Drifted the pin back and tested with the barrel off. worked fine. Reassembled by installing the slide but forgot to open the trigger guard after testing trigger and had trouble getting slide on because of the lug on the trigger guard which was in the way. Opened trigger guard and was able to install the slide and barrel. Tested and the trigger didn't drop the hammer.
Checked to be sure the magazine disconnector was engaging with magazine in by taking grips off to see it. It was engaging and reinstalled grips. Tested again and trigger did not break and drop hammer. It feels like there is no engagement with the sear, trigger goes back with no resistance.

Try gently pulling the trigger back out and that may reset it. By moving the lever to adjust the trigger pull you also decrease the spring leverage to reset the trigger. You may have to go back to the previous setting.

Thanks. I found that there is a spring that was riding on the notched lever that adjusts the trigger pull. When I adjusted it to the lowest setting the spring slid off the end of the lever. I moved the setting up one notch to get the spring back on the lever. Reassembled and it works fine. Adjusted the over travel screw and the trigger is great now. Hope it makes a difference in my scores at the next match.
