I have owned a 2007 model 41 5.5 in heavy bbl pistol for several years. I bought it used from local dealer, no box but otherwise in almost like new condition. I gave it a pretty good look over before buying and it and it has performed very well, no malfunctions of any kind and accuracy is very good.

So, during my last cleaning I looked very close at the chamber and I found an imperfection. On one one side of the chamber the beginning of the rifling has a definite ledge, while on the other side there is no ledge, totally smooth. Just curious whether anyone else has seen a similar condition on their model 41? At this point I hesitate to call Smith & Wesson to discuss it with them, because I really don't want to send the pistol or barrel back to them, but just curious if anyone else has had a similar experience, and if so what you did about it. I will appreciate any comments. Thank you.

Unless you believe the imperfection may be a safety issue I wouldn't be concerned about it. In your post you said the gun "performs very well" and accuracy is "very good". There are many shooters here on the forum that wish they could say the same thing about their own model 41.

Thank you. You are confirming my feelings.
