model 41 serial number help

I have a Model 41 with a uak serail number thanks for any help

I'd guess at 1983, but call S & W directly. They'll research it for you.

My friend is looking to sell it to me for $300 it has a 7 inch barrel on it.So who did i call at smith & wesson

just picked it up first three letters in serial number is uak.Any idea when it was really made.He cant rememder when he bought it forsure.Kinda like to know

I bought mine new around 2003 with an UAZ prefix.
The SCSW shows UAM as 1997.
Your best bet is to call S&W customer service and they will give you the DOB over the phone for free.

I can not help you with the serial no. but I would really like to own a model 41. I have been doing research on them but just don't know if I can come up with the funds for a new one. Model 41's look great. Congratulations.
