Model 41 serial number help

I'm looking into buying a model 41 in 7 inch.serial number is tys8871. Can anyone tell me what year it might be. Cant find it in scsw.thanks for any help

I always send an email request to Smith & Wesson. They normally give me an answer within a couple or three business days.

According to a list I found on rimfirecentral, THD is 1991, TZU is 1993 so yours could be 1992? Let us know if you get a date from the factory. The published lists have lots of gaps.
