Model 41 value

Hey guys, I'm trying to figure out the value of this model 41. SN# starts with 73xxx. This was my dad's bullseye pistol back in the day, and hasn't been shot since the early 70's. It's not pristine, but it's in good shape. Any guidance would be appreciated.

FWIW, I paid $625 for mine a couple of months ago. Mine appears to be in better shape and is about the same vintage. On the other hand I've seen them offered online for at least a couple hundred more.

Model 41

Super pistol Mattsmith, your photos aren't clear enough to judge condition but do show a nice set of other than factory stocks, the left panel anyway, not sure of the maker but very nice. If that belonged to my Dad it would not leave the premises no matter what the accessed value was/is it would be priceless.
I personally believe that Beeser made a once in a lifetime buy at $625.00, most are more by several Ben Franklins around here!

Prices vary on these pistols. We need better pic's. The rarer barrels bring higher prices. If your pistol has the extendable front sight it will add to its overall value. Do you have the original box and contents. Do you have any other barrels. Also to add, I've never seen Model 41 stocks with checkering like that so they are aftermarket. Do you have the originals?

As it appears (guess Herritt grips) and with no box etc. and one mag - $675 - $825 range for individual sale. GB possibly $850 range.

Tom's post reminded me that I paid closer to $800 for my second 41 with a longer barrel. Also, and in all fairness, my first 41 eventually had problems that required me to send it to S&W for repairs. Maybe the PO knew something I didn't. Beautiful looking gun but it definitely had problems.

Thanks for all the feedback so far. It's much appreciated. No idea where the grips came from. No box, 2 mags, extra set of grips. Haven't figured out how to load multiple pics, so I'll load one with each post. See of these give you guys a better idea.

The 41 is a gun I would love to have, not "looking" for one but always have my eyes open

It looks nice Matt,
The second set of stocks are non factory. As previously stated I would think that $850 would be reasonable, maybe a bit more on one of the auction sites.

IMO $750 - $1,000
What you get depends on the buyer you find and area you are in.
The more time you have to wait for the right buyer the more it will bring.
I paid $900 for a nice used one a couple years ago.

I suggest keeping and shooting it.
Guns are holding their value against the economy better than money is.

It has the cocking indicator which is more desirable to some people. Earlier manufacture. I certainly would not sell it for less than $800 if it were mine. Looks like a nice gun.

Thanks guys! This has been very helpful. I'm thinking a reasonable price on this one is $800. I'll post it in the classifieds here in case someone is looking for one as well as GB, and Texas gun trader.
