Model 41 with SN# A674474?

The 3rd edition of the A & W Catalog lists the beginning of the A prefix on the serial numbers starting in 1970 with #A115001. The prefix TAA began in 1984. I'm guessing my "new" Gun Broker purchase Model 41 at A674474 was made in the late 70's early 80's. Can anyone pin it down closer? Thanks. Jim

If it has the cocking indicator it would be pre 1978. I believe they phased the cocking indicator out around that time.

From the S&W semi-auto research I have done I would put it at 1980/1981.

FBV8 is in there -1981.
CI into 1978, but some few shipped later
