Do the new Model 41 pistols have any MIM parts? If so, could someone list what those would be? I was kind of hoping this model with it's price point did not use any and the reason for the question. I tried a search on the site, but could not easily find the response.

I am not very familiar with the S&W line, but I am familiar with the use of these parts in the Glocks and Sigs.

Thanks,
Jeff

I can't say for sure but it doesn't show when if ever they were put in the Model 41 in the Standard catalog Of S&W 3rd edition.

I don't own a newer one so I can't verify for you, but I don't believe they use MIM on the Model 41. I've never heard anyone mention it.

Why the concern with MIM parts? S&W offers a lifetime warranty.

Snowwolfe,

That is a good point. I never thought about that. I guess I would just be out of using the pistol for however long it would take to get it repaired.

Thanks for the comments guys, I appreciate the input.

Mim parts are no more likely to break or wear out than machined parts. They are just less expensive to manufacture.
