My early Model 42 came with smooth high horn grips. I intended to install a pair of ivory j frame grips I had laid back on this revolver. I soon noticed that they would not fit.
The round disk on they inside of the original grips measure 1/2 inch. All other j frame grips I have, including the ivories, the disk measures 5/8 inch and that larger disk will not fit into the cutout on the frame.
Are there any standard j frames grips that come with the smaller disks?
Any high horns available out there for sale?
