Model 469/569/639 Slides Interchangeable?

Just wanted to find out if anyone knows if Model 469, 569, and 639 slides are interchangeable?

Just pulled my Model 6906 which is the 3rd gen version of the 469/669 compact double stack 9mm to confirm the frame length in front of the trigger guard is the same length as the full sized 459 etc,
Good news is that it is.
The slide, barrel , recoil spring and guide will be longer , but since the frame dimensions are the same front to back the longer slide should fit right on.
Btw the longer magazines should work as well.

Pretty much, yes, although given manufacturing tolerances, some fitting may be required.

In addition to its own slide, my 639 has, at various times, worn a 915 slide and a 459 slide.

So you want a 4" barreled 469?

The biggest issue with putting a full length x39/x59 slide on a 469 would be the back edge of the slide. The compact 469/669's had the rear of the slide and the receiver rails were much more rounded than the full size pistols, so a full size slide will overhang the receiver at the rear edge of the receiver rails. This would not affect function, but it looks odd.

I've noticed a lot of commonality among S&W 1st, 2nd, 3rd gen, but sometimes not. Just curiosity.
