Model 48-4

I picked up a model 48-4 recently. Serial #98K1392 8 3/8 bbl length. Really good shape I think. Can you guys tell me date of manufacture? I got the box and all the goodies. BUT the grip does not feel good for my big hand. What does everybody else put on em? I have a 686 with combat finger grooves on it but dang those things are high now!!

Guessing 1981 by the serial number, you can look for some "Target" grips. They show up on Ebay and other sites frequently.
