Does anyone have any experience with the new Model 48 classic? I was wondering if they had the problems of cylinders being hard to extract empty cases like the older one did. I want one because I like K Frames and the 48 is different than anyone else I shoot with has. I know the ammunition is more expensive than .22 LR, and a older Model 18 would be more practical. But, where's the fun in that.

Funny you mention it because I just fondled one today. Have no experience actually using one, but I'm a sucker for the new classic line. Anyway, if you like the caliber, I would assume its a great shooter, but other than that...never really peaked my interest.

After owning half a dozen of the early 48s, The ones that had sticky chambers were all cured by a simple bore brushing (bronze on a low speed drill, with Flitz). I don't have a clue why they came to be sticky or were from the factory that way, but it was a simple fix. Real fun and effective revolver. Getcha one.:)

I have no experience with the Classic 48 because I found a 48-3 just before the Classic 48 was produced.
It is in my bag or on my hip all through hunting season.
It fills the gap between the 22LR and the 32 S&W Long for young shooters.
One of my favorite guns and calibers.
