Hello, I have a prestine in the box with papers model 49 that I have to sell. S# J658XXX. I can't seem to lock down a value from looking at the auction sites. And my book has it at 100%-$450. It has just the faintest turn line on the cylinder. I also have a bianchi holster that will fit it. Any ball park ideas for me??

Swoop: $450 for a Model 49 in 100% condition is probably $100-$150 too low. I recently sold a NIB 1974-vintage M49 to another forum member for $585 delivered, and several other NIB 49's have sold online for $550 to $600 in the past six months or so. Occasionally they'll go for even more--last week a NIB blue 49 sold for $700 on GunBroker, and a month earlier a mint-condition nickel version actually sold for over $800. Those last two were pretty extreme prices, though, so I wouldn't count on getting that much.

Hope that helps!

Thank you DC7. It definately helps. I'm actually selling my late father in laws guns to satisfy his estate. I purchased the kelly blue book to try and get into a ball park range. But some revolvers are either selling under the stated value or over. So thank you for your input. It helps alot.
