Model 52 reflex sight mount?

We are definitely going to be offering mounts for the 52, just need to get caught up a bit.

I have never seen a 952 in the flesh but web photos indicate a quite different rear sight attachment scheme than for the 52.

Here's pictures of my 52-2 and 952-2, and they are different:

Still, the critical thing that I see would be the width and depth of the dovetail. Next time I open my safe, I'll take some measurements. Otherwise, the 952 looks like it has enough clearance to make accommodate the rest of the mount.

Also, it would seem it depends on what - number 952. Here is the 952 I eyeballed on the web with a quite different sight than the 52 or your 952.

Interesting - you are correct. I did a search and 952's are a mixed bag. That corresponds to a story I was told that S&W came out with the model to use up old parts. The earlier versions, such as the one you posted, have sights that look to mount like the older Model 41 sights did, which was a "T" slot cut in the slide. The newer ones like mine use the dovetail mount. Live and learn! :D

I wish someone would write a book detailing all the sights used on various guns over the years -- not likely as it would no doubt enjoy a very small readership!

what is the cost for the mount for a 52-2 for a Fast Fire and shipped to Florida. Please contact me via PM

I don't want to steal the OP's thread but since it is a year o.d, thought I'd chime in. I am running a FF III on my 52-1 using an EGW mount. The mount replaces the rear sight with no slide modification at all. The cost was around $50 straight from EGW.
To answer a previous question, I can see no difference in operation since I installed the red dot sight.

52

IF you search for the BME mount you will find the same style mount you have made, plus they make them for many more different optics, plus the 952 S&W and of course model 41. $56.00 not a bad price,

I got mine for a couple S/Ws from Aristocrat . They have about 15 models on the websight. 29-39 dollars. It may sit a tad higher than the one shown here. But work great.

Absolutely needs no changes to the gun.
