I just received a set of Spegel extended boot grips that I bought from a gentleman in another part of North Carolina.

I love the look and feel of the grips and had a hard time deciding what to put them on. I finally decided to try them on the 547 since the gun and the grips are fairly scarce in this part of the world.

Bill,

Those stocks are a work of art!

How do you like the 547? I bought one from another forum member some time ago, but have never fired it.

Like you, I have never fired it. Mine came (to me) with magnas and I found a set of round butt targets for it, but the Spegels look better.

Other than having (to me) a too heavy trigger pull it shoots fine. I do most of my revolver shooting double action. Very little kick even with the stiffest factory loads.

FWIW I understand the reasons for the heavy pull and I can live with it. I was going to change springs but a old timer that knew the gun told me not to. Just did a bit of polishing and it got a little better.

Mine fires awsome! The beauty only has about 18 rounds though it. From me and I tell you mine has a great trigger. 20190828_220203.jpg Cleaned it and now it sits in the safe, taken out looked at then put back. I figure since it is kinda scarce I will not shoot it again. Never though.

Those Spegel Stocks are beautiful!!

I would like a set too but I just picked up a set of of dated 1982 combat stocks so I can use the very elusive speed loader.

I bought mine new in 82 and it sat in the safe for over 30 years waiting and waiting to be fired.

I got tired of just looking at it and finely did it a few years ago. These have a nice smooth DA and are VERY accurate.

I have three sets of stocks for mine. The wooden ones will be for photos.

The orig magnas
The optional combats with the speed loader cutout
The S&M logo rubber from a newer K frame

I love the wood stocks but I shoot my 547 better with rubber.

If you shoot it you may want to pick up a set of rubber stocks.

I may end up with a set of Spegel too!!! They really make the M-547 look outstanding!!!!! The best I've seen so far!!

Be aware the Uncle Mike grips are a Craig Spegel design. So if you can find a set ....... best of both worlds for you
