Model 559 A672725

I have an unfired Smith and Wesson Model 559 (serial #A672725) sitting in my safe for some time now, and I just pulled it out as I thought about selling it. According to the 4th Edition of the Standard Catalog of Smith and Wesson "The gun was introduced in 1980 with shipments starting in 1981, at approximately serial number A672,725." Am I interpreting this correctly to be serial number A672725? Thanks for any input!

You have M559 serial number A672725, the one mentioned in the SCSW 4th? That's pretty neat.
I'll have to check but I think that's the same serial number mentioned on a 559 letter I have.
