I just traded into a 98% Model 559 (Nickel) with two magazines, no box etc. I need a couple of more magazines. Will a Model 59 magazine fit and function in the M559? My magazines are fourteen rounds and what I'm finding on line are fifteen rounds?? Thanks in advance.

Same mag. Later follower and spring designs enables you to load up 15 but they are the same and will work in your pistol.

No worries. Also: If you find the later followers (most of them orange) you can load 15 into your old 14-round magazines also. This is an inexpensive way to add capacity to the older mags. Orange followers are usually $3.50 or so each.
Also: If you get Mec-Gar 10-round magazines, their followers enable you to get 16 rounds in your 14-round magazines. (I had a few NY magazines and scavenged parts from them for my free-state pistols.)

All the double stack 9mm mags from the 59,59x (three digit) and third Gen. four digit (59xx) and 915/910 magazines are interchangeable.

I'll often use a flat steel base 59 magazine if I'm concealed carrying my 3rd Gen. 915

As mentioned Mec-gar still makes magazines....... 17 and 18rds IIRC; maybe some 20s.

Oh goodness! I tell you what: I'll trade two 559 blues - 95% or better - for your nickel 559.

That is all.

Later (I hope, especially in this case)

Oops. Offer retracted. I just remembered: I already have a NIB 559 Nickel that will never see another round fired through it while owned by yours truly.

Later.
