Just received a model 559. Can't find any information on it. Did a search and nothing.
It is a model 559.What is the year of manufacture? What is the value? It has a original box and papers. I see very little bluing wear.
Thanks you for any help you can give Me

The 559 is a carbon steel slide with a carbon steel frame. It is part of the 459/559/659 family.

I have put carved ivory grips on mine. Mine also has a yellow insert added.

Over 10,000 of these firearms were made from roughly 1980-1983

I am picking one up from an FBI agent tomorrow night that needs repair (extractor/ejector problem).
He has been carrying it for at least 20 years now.

Value is probably not much different than any other 459/659 in similar condition. If it is super clean a
collector might pay a premium for a 559

Mine was manufacture in 1982, your serial number is less than 950 from mine

Off the top of my head, I would say 1982.
I don't feel like pulling out the SCSW right now.

The only bluing loss on mine is on the trigger.

I would put the value at around $350-$400, assuming
two original 14 rounders and a box in good shape.
