little confused, this one does not have recessed cyclinder and pinned barrel which i understand is correct.
one question, should it have congalvo grips?
second question serial is AVF 88XX.
I can't find that AVF int standard catalog by supcia and nahas.
Little help on that as to year made, assuming after 1982.

Hello,
The -1 production and engineering change for the Model 57 was the elimination of the recessed cylinder and pinned barrel. This occurred in 1982. Your revolver dates to about 1987. On page 220 of the Standard Catalog, 3rd Edition the revolver description indicates that these revolvers were shipped with Goncalo Alves Target Stocks.
