Model 57 serial question

Hi folks,
new to this forum. I have a Model 57-1 .41 magnum with the 8 3/8 barrel. The serial number is AUB xxxx, which doesn't match any of my references. The revolver is in 98+ condition. Any information? thnks.

Welcome to the forum.
That serial number comes from some time between Jan. 1986 and July 1987. The book don't get more specific than that. M57-1 started in 1982 and M57-2 started in 1988.

Don't have the SWCA catalog so I can't help date it, but that's a great revolver in my favorite caliber. Congrats! Makes for a great long range shooter and a 210 gr. Speer Gold Dot placed well on a deer will bring home some great venison.

Thanks for the help. I picked this revolver up at a pawn shop back in '97. The .41 mag is one of my favorite calibers. I have this, two 3-screw Blackhawks and a stainless Redhawk as well as a Marlin 1894s rifle.
Hopefully this site won't cost me too much...all my old motorcycles don't leave much extra!
