Hi Guys!
My father recently returned a S&W model 58, that I gifted to him 10-12 years ago. My question is what good is it? I can't get ammo for it or reloading supplys. Also holsters and sundries are out of sight.
How much are mod 58's going for now? Is it worth keeping, or should I sell? It's 95%+ condition wise and has the original matching grips, It had the blue Bangor Punta box but, my father lost it. I'm sure the box will show up in due course. I may be able to post a pic or two later. Any oppinions are welcome.

"Thanks"

I would keep the gun! Smiths are drying up in my area fast. I still see 41 magnum on dealers shelves. I am sure you will find reloading supplies shortly. The 41 magnum really shines when you reload for it. It is a great revolver and caliber! A keeper for sure!

I will help you to get rid of this piece of junk for free. ;-)

To be seriously: keep it and take it to the range. Ammo is still available and reloading tools will help you to have some more fun with the gun.

If you have some pictures, please post them.

With .41MAG you have to reload.50rd boxes run about $75 when you can find them.I think the model 58 is one badass gun,4" barrel, fixed sights and a true man stopping caliber. What's not to love?
