Model 59 grip angle

I am considering the purchase of a model 59 no dash. I am able to shoot a 1911 with good accuracy fairly easily compared to other handguns. I am wondering about whether or not the grip frame angle has anything to do with this.
Can someone tell me how the grip and grip angle of a model 59 compares with a full sized 1911?
