model 59 magazine follower needed

I just bought 2-20 round S&W model 59 9mm magazines at a gun show in Houston for my Marlin camp carbine. {cheap! 14.95 each}. They have the wrong follower in the mag. I cannot load any 9 mm ammo without the follower being put in a bind.

Is there some place I can buy the right follower? Where can I find parts for magazines? {Tried google and Midway; no luck}

Are they S&W mags or some other brand? If they are marked S&W the follower is the same as the standard mag. If they're aftermarket a new follower is probably not going to help.

Handgunner, you are correct.

I removed the follower from a good magazine, installed it in the after-market magazine I bought at the Houston gun show, and it would not work {same problem}. Looks like the "Clip and Magazine" guy near the front entrance of the Houston Gun Show is selling crap... Shoulda got the name of his company so I could give him some free advertisement.

It's not worth my time and the $7 in parking and $8 in entrance fee to go get my $30 back.

On an up-note, my 20 round Marlin/S&W 59 clip works in my Stoeger Cougar 8000, and visa-versa! Who knew???

For what it is worth, the only after market mags I will use instead of original S&W mags would be Mec-Gars. They will not disappoint you!
