I shot my model 59 for the first time in over a year after putting some paint on the front sights and I love this gun still even though it is kinda old I am very accurate with it and the feel of the grip is a lot like my M&P9 Full Size.

This weapon is still one of my favorites but it is not a carry piece mostly because I can no longer easily find one. It was my first semi auto and it is still one of my favorites, I guess I ought to shoot it more but it is mostly a sentimental weapon since 1982!

Know how you feel Houdini! I have several older Smith autos myself some second and some third generation models and am hunting a 39-2 to add to the collection.
Thing is, taking your 59 out every now and then isn't going to hurt it none, and ya know you could get a used 5904 to carry and pay homage to its "grandfather" the 59. Outside of the grips and trigger it would still be a 59 and take the same mags. Dale
