Model 5906 Magazines

Picked up a Model 5906 and am searching for additional magazines. Found this magazine online for $36.99 plus shipping (Smith & Wesson 59 Series 9mm 15-Round Magazine). In the description it says the following: "This magazine fits 459, 659, 910/S, 915, 5903TSW, 5943TSW, 5946TSW." It does not include model 5906. Do you think it is just listing those as an example of "other" model 59 models that it fits? I thought all series 59 fit all 59 series models. Any suggestions?

Also, do the Promag and Mecgar brands run good in this model?

Any additional information on brands, prices, and sources would be appreciated. Thanks!

Mecgar brand certainly do well, Promag?.....mebbe not so much

the description mentions 915,915 is the 'economy' series of the 59XX series. my 915 takes/uses the same mag as my 5906,5946. the S&W 59XX series mags is very abundant at the shows in my area.

OP, I think the seller just accidentally left out the 5906. All those listed are interchangeable with the 5906. Also, I would stay away from Pro-Mag. Mec-Gar is good to go.

Mec-gar or factory it is then. I know this is usually the case, but occasionally the old Promags work good. My MPA 5.7 carbine works with the Promags and not with the factory mags. My FN 5.7 is vice versa. MPA intentionally made their 5.7 weapons to work with the cheaper Promags. Thanks all!

I carry the MecGar 17rd mags in my 6906, and for the grin factor go with 20rd mags.

You can also find good used factory mags cheep in the S&W forum classified's.[emoji106][emoji106]
