I'm just looking for a simple one here:
Rd. butt Md.60 3" full underlug in 22mag.
I only need a 6 shooter but 8 rounds would be...great.

Don't want a spare 22LR cylynder or fiber optics or porting.

Just a kit gun.

Thanx for listening,
Pete

I was sort of hoping for the same in the scandium M351 configuration. Sent a note to SW, but they're clearly too busy to listen......or respond......to the folks out here actually buying, or considering buying, their stuff.

The 63 is being offered with a 3" barrel, so there may be hope yet. Hold your breath when you see the pricing.

I nearly bit on the 650 recently, it's a sorta cool baby version of the md. 65 but I can't make concessions while dreaming.

Not to throw cold water on your idea, but in my experience, the .22 Magnum is a lousy cartridge in short barrel revolvers. I had the Model 51 Kit Gun with 3-1/2" barrel and soon parted with it. It had tremendous muzzle flash/blast and was expensive to shoot. The performance of the .22 Magnum leaves a lot to be desired in short barrel revolvers.

I have to completely agree. But, I still love my little 3" 650 With a set of silver/black Badger boot grips, it the cats meow! Wouldnt think of selling it.

I come down on the side of disagree. I have a M351 and LOVE it! It is very accurate for short distance work and hoot to shoot. These are built to ground hog hunt at 250yds.

I've go a 63 and a 60 full underlug and there's a 36 RB 3" HB enroute.
Ideally, a dream gun would shoot...like a dream but I take your point.

The previous 22mags I owned required me to have an ammo can of part boxes so I could look for a round it liked...then hope the current lot shoots the same.

I like the idea, although I haven't done much shooting with .22 mags and short barrels. A 5 1/2" Ruger Single Six is about the only .22 mag sixgun I've messed with. I figured out I could load .38s as cheap as I could buy .22 mags, so that's pretty much what I've done. Recently acquired a 2" adjustable sight model 60, so that one will probably fill this particular niche for me. But everybody's got their dream gun, right? Still like your idea. In fact, I'd love it if this m-60 had a 3" barrel. In my experience, the 4" j-frames shoot great but are distinctly less carry-able than the shorter barrels. Seems like 2 1/2 or 3" is just right to me for these little guns.

No underlug, but, its been done. I have no idea why I have two of them..I think I am trying to corner the world market on these little guns...

A Model 60 in 22 Mag with a 3" barrel would be great, but I would be more likely to buy one that had a 5" barrel.
