I am considering buying a Model 60 and have a few questions.

Other then the wood grips are there any other differences between the Model 60 Pro and Model 60 3" that suggest I buy one over the other?

If I were to want to put on new grips which would you recommend?

I usually prefer to carry OWB rather then IWB, but have only done so with a 1911 Ultra Carry.

I usually wear shorts and a T shirt here in Florida and conceal the 1911 OWB with no problem of printing. My only prior experience carrying a revolver has been carrying a 642 in a pocket holster. So, my last question is whether it is realistic to expect to be able to carry the Model 60 3" OWB, and if so, what holster or holsters have proven best for concealment purposes.

Thanks.

Pro has a unique slab barrel config that matches the Miculek .45; the SSR; and other special Perf Ctr guns--for actual shooting replace those beautiful rosewood grips w/pachmayr rubber--dmd

these are the best j-frame in my opinion

If you can conceal a full size 1911 under a
t-shirt, you will be able to conceal a mod 60 in the proper hoolster even easier. I would suggest any snug fitting premium holster like Galco, Mitch Rosen, etc. I personally don't carry this particular gun for CCW so I haven't invested in a CCW type holster. For me this is primarily a trail gun in non bear country. As far as grips, it really depends on your personal comfort. I am pleased with the original grips, especially when shooting full house .357s. These are excellent guns for any use.

The above picture is sure nicer than mine

I use an El Paso #77 Tortilla OWB holster for 3" J-frames. Very comfortable and easy to conceal, even with t-shirt.

El Paso also has a clip on IWB model that they wil make up for a 3" J-frm. I've used this type in cross-draw carry. Also very easy to conceal and comfortable.
