Model 60 front sight question

I have a model 60 shipped in 1980 and I am getting older I have a proble acquiring the front sight in low light situations.
I checked on an XS front sight but it requires milling of most of the front sight and expoxing the new one on.
Has anyone tried this and hw do you like it.

I have had XS sights on a couple of revolvers, but they were adjustable sight models and the front sight was just pinned in place. On a fixed sight revolver, couldn't you have the XS sight milled to fit over the fixed front sight on the revolver and then just drill a small hole for a pin to hold the sight on? I would buy a revolver with adjustable sights before I would have a fixed sight revolver butchered up to change the sights. Maybe a laser grip would be a better idea.

I have a 60-14 that has a black front OEM sight, but it is not the easiest to see in low or dim light.
I compared some options and decided to leave the sight as is and get a crimpson trace boot grip red laser. I bought the crimpson trace in 2010.
The crimpson trace is activated naturally by a button on the upper part of the front strap of the grip. It has an on of switch so you can be sure to the conserve battery .
It is easy to use and has never failed. Batteries are easy to get at a drug store or battery shop. Crimpson trace may still be sending them out free of charge if you call customer service.

I would not alter a nice fixed sight j frame.

A little Testors bright orange paint has made a lot of difference for me. It gives the appearance of a wider front sight and makes it much easier to find quickly. It is cheap and easy to undo if it doesn't work for you.

You can also get fluorescent paint.
