Model 60 no dash?

I got my hands on a model 60, round butt, 2", magna stocks, in really nice condition but it has me a little confused. It is clearly stamped Mod 60 (no dash).
As I read the book, the model 60-1 started in 1972. So maybe before that.
The pinned barrel stopped in about 1982 and this one is not pinned. So maybe after that.
This gun has a serial number that starts ADH. ADH isn't listed in the Standard Catalog at all but ADC shows use in 1985-1987. So somewhere around that.
So if the non pinned barrel and the serial number place this gun in the range of the mid 80's but no dash number says much earlier, what do I have?
Surely some of you who really know this stuff must have encountered this before.

The Model 60 with no dash number lasted until 1988. The dash one, like the Model 36, was used for the 3" heavy barrel version. The -2 was a DAO unit built for the NYPD. The Model 60-3 replaced the Model 60 in 1988.

I show ADx in 1984 and 1985. The SCSW does not show any AD numbers from 1986 or beyond.

JP is spot-on. Don't let things like the dash number confuse you. They don't necessarily have do to with chronological order exclusively. For instance the Model 10 series has some dash numbers that were used simultaneously to indicate standard vs. heavy barrels. If you have or plan to have a few S&Ws or formally collect them, an excellent resource if you haven't heard of it is the Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson, referred to around here as SCSW. There is so much info in there that it will blow your mind. (Wait - was that a pun in I shot in there?) Worth every penny. Most of the folks here like answering questions, but the book is a lot faster and caters to your every S&W need.

I had an original model 60, no dash. When we changed from revolvers to semi-autos I sold it. I really missed it so a couple of years ago I bought a new one. It can shoot .357, so I came up a bit.

Thanks for the help. I have the 4th Edition of the SCSW but couldn't figure out the -1 and -2 being very limited.
The book is full of information but needs a careful reading, or long experience with it, to get some of the nuances in dash numbers and serial numbers.
