model 60

I met a local guy at my range to check out and shoot his model 60. It had an original #'s grips,box and paperwork and a S&W centerfire ammunition pamphlet but no cleaning kit. He also threw in a bianchi holster.The serial# is R524XX so I'm thinking 1970-71? It looked good functioned good so I brought if home. for 400 OTD

That's a heck of a deal on the classiest little revolver S&W ever made. I bought mine from a Georgia State Revenue agent about four years ago. It hasn't missed many days either in my pocket or on my hip since then. My old Granddaddy would roll in his grave if he knew I was doing business with "revenoors" but I couldn't pass up the deal.
