I am just wanting to make sure, before I order some grips for this gun. Mine still has the original S&W rubber grips, and I would likke something better. I looked this gun up in the S&W catalog and it says this gun is built on the N-frame. And the grips for it would be the N frame round butt, is this right. I appreciate any advice and any recomendations on a set of grips. I have alot to learn about these guns....Thanks.....Ray

Yes - N round butt - look around and see what grips you like most cause there are lots out there - combat style with finger grooves are nice as are many others

625 grips

The N frame round will work fine. I have aset of Altamont rose wood on one of my 625`s that fit perfectly. I had an extra pair of combat grips from a 629 dx that were too large for the 625. The only N frame exception I ever found.

Here are my thoughts...............

Here are my favorites and they make some warmer loads quite comfortable out of the .45 Colt. They are Jerry Miculek design N-frame round butt. The last pic shows a 625-7 with X-frame grips. These are UGLY IMO, but they feel GREAT.
